AST to Feedback Members’ Views to Arsenal

Posted Wednesday 22nd February 2012

The Arsenal Supporters’ Trust (AST) is meeting with Arsenal Football Club (AFC) today (22 February) to discuss the club’s plans for ticket prices and other ticketing policies.

This meeting follows our concern at the impact of the 6.5% rise in prices last season and subsequent correspondence with Ivan Gazidis.

The AST welcomed the strategic review that the club set up following this issue.

At Monday night’s AST meeting members provided feedback that will shape our main points to the club, which build on existing work we have undertaken. They are:

  1. That overall there is a freeze in the headline rate of ticket prices of Arsenal matches (including season tickets)
  2. That should Arsenal qualify for the UEFA Europa League that tickets for this competition should be substantially reduced
  3. That significant improvements need making to the Ticket Exchange facility so that more fans use it and there are less empty seats at matches. This could include the use of awarding home credits for match attaendance that are used for allocations to big games.

Other supporters groups including AISA, REDaction and the Black Scarf Movement have all also fed good ideas into the club and we hope the club will listen carefully to all of their ideas and embrace as many as possible.

We will provide further feedback to members after the meeting. If you have any additional comments you would like to make on ticketing then please email info@arsenaltrust.org
