AST September meeting: Reviewing Arsenal’s transfer window and more
Monday 16th September 2013 - 18:45
The next AST meeting will take place at 6.45pm on Monday 16 September at the offices of Nabarro.
It is our first meeting of the new season and we will be looking back at the transfer window and hopefully some late arrivals; and forward to the Club’s forthcoming financial results and Annual General Meeting which will be held on October 17th.
We have also arranged a topical guest speaker.
The speaker at this meeting is Ian Lynam who is one of the country’s leading football lawyers. Ian is a head of the sports group at Charles Russell. Within football, he advises governing bodies, clubs, players, agents and brands on a wide range of issues.
Ian regularly contributes to legal journals and the media on sports law issues. You can read some of his recent blogs on financial fair play and how clubs pay players and his ideas on how clubs should approach player recruitment (which includes some anecdotes from his time advising Arsenal).
At the meeting he will give an update on current important legal and business issues facing football and, given the events of recent weeks, provide some clarity on understanding the contractual minefield that is the transfer market.
All members are welcome to attend.
